Bid: Mana'Olana

My bid for nr 1 ^^

Look, I'm figuring out brushes!! I'm still working on it, just wanted to upload already ^^ In case I don't finish on time.
I'm rather proud of the coloring ^^ Traditional done, I pulled off the light color

EDIT: ok, I'm going to leave the artwork alone now I've made a few edits, but I think I'm done now ^^

Story: Year 756 - Early Autumn

Mana laughed as she jumped trough the earth. The wind was all around her - almost lifting her up when she jumped. Or at least, she liked to pretend the wind did. She was to young to preform such strong magic. But she enjoyed to pretend. Her friend, Jyg, was flying above her, and as he came soaring down to her, she sped up, jumping out of the way. She laughted. "Didn't get me, didn't get me!" Playing flying tag was one of her favorite games. Her magpie cawed, and flew back up. She directed a little bit of air under Jyg, so he could rise more easily. Jyg cawed again, and he clapped his wings and took off again. Chukwu was resting a little. He watched her play, and smiled. He loved watching her play. "Come play to daddy!"
"No, princess, you and Jyg play along. I'm going to rest for a little while."
He didn't want to tell her he had and encounter with a stag earlier - and he was rather hard to get rid off. He had noticed Mana, and despite her behavior, she was old enough to be claimed in a rut. But he never told her. It was best she didn't know. Yes, it was best she didn't ...

Personality:
Mana is a friendly but rather shy doe. She's not very used to communicating with others, specially not with stags, and tends to be a little naive because of her lack off communication. She behaves too young for her age, Chukwu keeps her young - it's easier that way for him.

She's not easily bored, and knows how to play games on her own. She can keep busy easily. 
She's very caring, but easily discouraged. 
She'll rather take the easy way and do things the way somebody else think they should be done rather then her way. Even if she thinks her way is better.
Mana likes to move, she loves dancing and prancing trough the wind.

She deeply loves Chukwu, thinking he is her father.
She believes that her mother was killed by a rogue stag in rut, a fake tale Chukwu told her. She believes in justice, the right judgement and fairness - things that Chukwu learned her (ironically) He's toughed her to keep those values highly important.
She's very curious, and loves hearing more about herbs and stories.

In a fight, she'll rather run, trick and deceive her opponent then to fight with strength.

History:
R'elmine, Mana'Olana's mother, was born as a beauty - with the most lovely dun markings.  As she grew older, she noticed one of the most talented stags in her herd - Say'rano. Like her, Say'rano noticed her, and 2 fell in love.
However, R'elmine was a desired doe - she had beauty, strength, speed, brains, and magic. Say'rano wasn't the only stag wanting to claim her. Chukwu sparred with many stags, often proving his strength and magic. He was stronger then Say'rano, and by right, R'elmine was his.
Chukwu was madly in love with R'elmine - and when the rut came, he tried to claim her. R'elmine however, was in love with Say'rano. She rejected Chukwu, Say'rano claimed her. R'elmine and Say'rano were very passionate lovers, and they looked forward to having their own little baby. 
Chukwu however, couldn't deal with being rejected. He grew restless, and started to stalk R'elmine. At first, it was easy to avoid Chukwu, but after Mana'Olana was born, it got harder and harder, and Chukwu got closer and closer.
On day, Say'rano had enough of of Chukwu's stalking, Mana'Olana had been hidden in the bushes by her mother, and had fallen asleep.  Say'rano challenged Chukwu to a fight - But Chukwu was stronger, and Say'rano refused to give up. It would cost him his life. R'elmine was overwelmded by gried, but refused to let her mate be taken from her. With Say'rano dying on the ground, she jumped to his defense. Chukwu found himself into a fight with his loved one. R'elmine had even intention to kill Chukwu, but she was careless in her anger - and Chukwu got the upper-hand. He by accident injured her, worse then he had intended. R'elmine and Say'rano both died, next to each other.
Mana'Olana woke up, and started to look for her mother. "Mommy? Daddy?" Chukwu found her, and he was stuck by how much she resembled her mother. Chukwu sheltered her from her parent's dead bodies, and took her with him. He realized that he couldn't return to the herd - her aunts and uncles would know what happened, and they would kill him. "Where's mommy?" Chukwu looked down, at the little girl. He couldn't stay. If he left her, she would be looked after. She had uncles, aunts, and grandparents. She looked at him, with her beautiful big and clear eyes ... Chukwu wouldn't leave her behind. "Come with me, Mana'Olana. I was sent by your parents to pick you up." Mana'Olana believed him, and followed him.

Years passed, and Mana'Olana forgot her parents. Chukwu became her father, and cared for her, as if she really was his daughter. Chukwu often avoided herds and travelers - as he feared Mana'Olana might be taken away from if her family found out where she was.. Chukwu's fears were real. Nizonuk and Bojik found the bodies of their siblings, and angered as they were, they set out to find their niece and revenge their siblings. Chukwu had many almost-encounters with them, but escaped each time.

Mana'Olana traveled all over Windborne, learning to hide herself from like Chukwu told her. He told her they were evil, and wanted to hurt them. However, she also learned that not everyone was so evil. They often got help from friendly does. It was from those friendly does, that  Mana'Olana learned the stories of the bold Blackwoods, the Fiery Silvertorne, the sneaky Oakfern and the elegant Glenmore. Mana
'Olana's desire to travel was born from those stories.

Chukwu doesn't want to go, because he loses the advantage of knowing the terrain - he fears her uncles will track him down easier then. He refuses to go, but with each passing season, Mana'Olana's desire grows stronger to travel all worlds she's heard off.

-Chukwu gave her a Australian Magpie to keep her company, since she's alone so often.
-Most of the Magpie feathers on Mana's necklace, are the feathers of the mother of Mana'Olana's Magpie, that Chukwu killed to get the baby.
-The name of Mana's Magpie is Jyg.

-I'm hoping to find people willing to RP Chukwu and her uncles. As well as her aunt. It'd be great to RP out that Mana'Olana discovers the truth about her parents and Chukwu. 
-Drawing & writing the story out of Mana ^^

Timeline
--Born in the Year 751 in Summer
--Year 752 in Spring - Chukwu kills Mana'Olana's parents
--Year 753 in Spring - Mana'Olana no longer remembers her parents.
--Year 754 in Summer - Mana'Olana learns off Silverthorne, Oakfern, Blackwood and Glenmore, and starts to ask to travel further.
